The criminal prosecutor of the Sverdlovsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, Junior Counsel of Justice Ivanov, in accordance with Article 78 of the RSFSR Code of Criminal Procedure, drew up this protocol in the presence of Vishnevsky, Head of the Physical Training Department of the UPI, and Correspondent of the newspaper “Na zmena! Yarovoy J. presented to Yudin Y. E., a fourth-year student of UPI (Sverdlovsk, 8 student block, room 531) the things found near the tent of tourists of group Dyatlov, near the fire near the corpses of Krivonischenko and Doroshenko, as well as clothing available on the found corpses.

Yudin Yu. E. was asked to determine which things belonged to this or that participant of the expedition based on his personal impressions, notes in the diaries of the participants of the expedition, and also by examining all the things.

As a result of examining the things Yudin Yu. E. stated that in his opinion the things belonged to the following people: (before the present inspection by the search party the things were chaotically disarranged in backpacks)

1. Presumably Kolmogorova Zinaida belonged to:

The backpack is black, old, repaired by the side pocket. It contains a toothbrush wrapped inside, a bandage, a letter from Berezniki addressed to Z. Kolmogorova, a piece of soap tied up in a cloth, a new box of matches, a black electric flashlight, a reel of black thread, a light soap dish with a piece of toilet soap, two milk powder jars with a set of medicines, a medical kit bag (bandages, cotton, iodine), film, an iron jar from under tooth powder, and in it a set of medicines. Yudin said that when he left the group from the 2nd North Precinct, he gave all these medicines to Z. Kolmogorova.

З. Kolmogorova also belonged to: vigone socks in color almost black (dyed), white wool socks, repaired cape-tent, blue wool mittens with brown pattern, cotton, blue mittens like “crags”, wool dark brown mittens covered with cape-tent (old) ,domestic cloth slippers, new, outside herringbone pattern on the soles.

A dark blue, half-woolen blanket, a blue herringbone-knit ski cap with white vertical stripes, black fur gloves lined with black cotton material, and a red scarf.

In addition, the corpse of Z. Kolmogorova was wearing: a blue sweater, a knitted sweater with transverse blue stripes, a cowboy top, a blue tank top with sleeves, a black bra, ski pants, blue training pants, blue knitted pants with fleece, skate pants, swimming trunks. Brown wool socks with fur insoles, socks vigonovye, socks x / paper. Red wool cap on head, blue wool cap underneath (detailed in autopsy report)

2. Presumably belonging to I. Dyatlov:

A fur vest (not covered with fabric), a fur jacket with zipper locks. Backpack old, protective color, rough cloth gloves, mask, red socks, old, spare bindings, warm boot covers, woolen ski cap, blue with white flowers, black leather gloves, dark red blanket, storm pants of protective color and a light-colored storm jacket.

In the pockets of I. Dyatlov’s storm jacket and storm pants were found: horn-rimmed glasses in a gray case, a notebook in Dyatlov’s name with a photo card of Z. Kolmogorova, a penknife with a carbine on a string, garlic cloves, a compass, a mask, ropes, a wire, a rubber band for the skis. Ski boots, size 46.

I. Dyatlov’s corpse was found to be wearing the following clothes as listed in the autopsy report: a fur vest overlaid with blue sateen.Yudin stated that this vest belongs to him and was given to him by S. Kolevatov on 28/I-59.

The boots are warm, were found in a camp.

Dyatlov’s corpse also had: a blue half-wool sweater, a cowboy shirt, a blue jersey, brown ski pants, dark green sweatpants, black satin briefs, a white, torn wool sock, two cotton socks, a pack of streptocide.

3.Presumably belonging to L. Dubinina:

A black, old backpack, broken glasses in a case, a toothbrush in a case, a soap dish, toothpaste. The blanket is dark blue, a light-colored storm jacket, a blue tank top, black ski pants, a white cap, ski boots, socks, and white woolen socks, black felt boots, a small checked cowboy, a mask, brown socks, and gray woolen socks. Y. Yudin stated that he gave the gray wool socks to L. Dubinina.

In the pockets of the storm jacket were found: a paper string, a patch from a raincoat, an English pin, some powder, and a bow. Above the storm jacket pocket is a hiker’s badge. The left sleeve of the storm jacket is turned inward.

In the pockets of ski pants he found: an elastic bandage, the beginning of a letter, a big comb, 2 pencils, a hair clip and money of 35 rubles.

Black trunks with red trim, the same bra, blue knitted leggings, a blue ski cap, a x/paper bag. Ladies handkerchiefs - two white with a brown border and one checked.

4. N. Thibault-Brignol owns the following items:

A backpack, a tea can with photographic film in it, a dark blue coarse wool blanket, an old dark blue hat, matches in a Kleenex, a plaid cowboy (found at the fire - one sleeve turned out), a storm jacket, boots.

Pockets of pants and pants: handkerchief, bandages, box of matches, pocket lamp, penknife and Finnish type knife, compass, safety pin, spare ski belts, 1 ruble money, black vest buttoned on left side, black felt boots, lined.

5. Presumably, Slobodin R. owns

A new backpack of protective color, with a toy - a rubber bear, a towel, binoculars, a red blanket, a light storm jacket, storm pants, a black jacket, burned through, an under cap, one valenki. Part of the kit - two screwdrivers, awl, pliers and wire. Toy hedgehog, pencils, a box of screws, 2 spools of thread, fishing line, notebook. Camera “Zorkiy”, number unknown, ski boots, mask.

R. Slobodin’s corpse was wearing a black cotton sweater and a kovboyboy underneath. There were 2 felt insoles between the sweater and the kovboyka, in the pocket of the kovboyka there was a pen, passport in Slobodin’s name, money 310 rubles (100, 50x4 and 10 rubles), a grey knitted shirt with fleece under the kovboyka, and a T-shirt. I had ski pants with blue sweatpants underneath, warm underpants (a pair of the shirt), satin panties, a penknife, comb and a pencil in the ski pants.

The right leg has a valenki and 4 pairs of socks, the left leg has socks, and the valenki is missing. Slobodin’s storm jacket has 3 copies of a letter regarding Bienko, and in the pocket of his ski pants is a letter from the trade union committee.

6. Doroshenko allegedly belongs to the following items:

Black backpack, burgundy blanket, blue tunic, knitted training pants, boots, checkered vigon scarf, hat with earflaps, light-colored storm jacket, and in her pockets were two notebooks and 20 rubles.money (10x2).

The corpse of Doroshenko was wearing: a large checked cowboy, warm pants, a lettuce-colored tank top, blue swim trunks and blue briefs. On his feet were three whole cotton socks, three torn socks, and a pair of wool socks with burn marks.

7. Identified as Zolotarev’s:

A green banded blanket, a light-colored storm jacket, a white, woolen scarf, boots, repaired with wire, a black beret, a ski cap, a bottle of vitamins, a pressed cork, 1 piece of photographic film. Backpack notebooks, magazine “Crocodile”, bay leaf, pepper, black turtleneck, camera with a viewfinder and extra lens.

8. Kolyovatov presumably belongs to him:

Black backpack. Blanket made of soldier’s cloth, storm jacket and pants, fur vest, ski boots, underpinnings, bar. In addition, a belt, glasses, a fragment of a comb, a pack of cigarettes “fragrant”, a flask of aluminum.

9. Krivonishchenko’s alleged belongings:

A backpack, a dark green blanket, a blue burned vest, a storm jacket and storm pants, a mandolin in a cover, fur stockings, an undercoat and mittens of decorative fabric, ski boots, felt boots, an aluminum flask. In the pocket of the storm jacket comb, compass and small scissors. There are two badges on the storm jacket: two sports categories and " tourist”, a D string for mandolin, a toy “teddy bear”.

Krivonischenko was wearing: a cowboy shirt, a singles shirt, remnants of underpants, swimming trunks, one sock.
